Hookworms and Roundworms

Hookworms and roundworms are two of the most known and commonly found intestinal parasites that are often found in puppies and kittens. These types of parasites can travel from the animal gut to the feces in the form of larvae and eggs. 

Hookworms are known to cause painful and itchy skin infections in humans. On the other hand, roundworms might even lead to those diseases which are painless. But these parasites can cause serious eye infections and subsequent damage in children. Especially those who come in contact with the pet and their feces. 

Here’s how you can reduce the risk of these infections:

  • Make sure to get your pet dewormed as soon as you bring them back from the vet to home
  • Also, make sure to have some PPE on when you are gardening so that you are not in contact with these parasites

Ringworms

Lyme Disease
