Hay was honored with SWPL Player of Month honors again for March, becoming only the second player since Lizzie Arnot in December 2020 to do so back-to-back.

Glasgow City goalkeeper Rebecca Galbraith earned this prestigious honour, beating off competition from Lauren Perry (Forfar Farmington), Ode Fulutudilu (Glasgow City) and Rebecca Galbraith (Spartans).

1. Brogan Hay – Rangers

Brogan Hay, from Rutherglen in Rutherglenshire, was recently honored as SWPL Player of Month for March after contributing two goals and three assists as Malky Thomson's side secured 12 points out of 15 matches played in March. Beating rivals Ode Fulutudilu (Glasgow City), Lauren Perry (Forfar Farmington) and Rebecca Galbraith (Spartans), she became the second member from Ibrox club after Lizzie Arnot to receive this honor in December 2020.

Shen Menglu of Celtic has been nominated for the SWPL1 Player of the Month Award for March after scoring back-to-back trebles to help Scott Booth retake top spot on the Scottish Women's Premier League table. Although Shen faces stiff competition from Glasgow City's Lauren Davidson, Hearts' Ciara Grant, and Hay of Rangers; it is certainly well deserved that Chinese international Shen has already made her mark during her inaugural season with Fran Alonso.

Emma Brownlie of Hearts won the SWPL Player of the Month award for January after helping Hearts achieve three wins in four matches during that month, adding this accolade to Rachel Walkingshaw who was honored earlier in 2019.

2. Ode Fulutudilu – Glasgow City

Ode Fulutudilu of South African International Football has been named the SWPL Player of the Month for March alongside Brogan Hay (Rangers) and Lauren Perry (Forfar Farmington). Fulutudilu scored seven goals in three matches for City and was nominated alongside Janine Van Wyk from Banyana Banyana.

City are currently enjoying a remarkable run of form under her leadership as they bid to regain the Scottish Women's Premier League crown. Broadwood Stadium outfit have won 13 out of 15 since February began and held on with their title hopes by beating Petershill Park 2-0 on Sunday afternoon - keeping City in title contention!

City substitute Fulutudilu unleashed an excellent counterattack that put her behind Partick Thistle's defense, where she swiftly squared it to the back post for City's second goal - setting off an amazing performance from City's team as they cruised to an easy 6-0 victory and extended their lead at the top by five points over Rangers.

3. Emma Brownlie – Heart of Midlothian

Emma Brownlie has recently joined Gregory Vignal's side as an experienced veteran from Hibs and Celtic in Scotland. She amazed Everton in the FA Women's Super League with her high speed passing, becoming one of the league's most consistent players last season. Brownlie applauds Vignal's club turning professional, hoping it will encourage young girls across Scotland to follow in her footsteps and continue developing as players themselves.

The 29-year-old ballerina has been an impressive fixture this season, appearing in all but three games since she joined Hearts back in September. She was recognized by her league peers as having improved significantly this year compared to last. Hearts has scored 18 goals from 18 matches this year compared to only 66 last year. Additionally, she became the first ballerina ever to win an SWPL game and featured in all but one of Hearts' six trophy winning matches this campaign.

4. Courtney McAvoy – Boroughmuir Thistle

McAvoy scored five goals during January, including an hat-trick against Montrose and is currently second on SWPL2's scoring chart with 11 strikes scored this season.

Edinburgh Ladies Football Club are one of Scotland's premier women's clubs, renowned for their youth program and community involvement in Edinburgh. Although narrowly missing out on promotion last season, they hope to compete at elite league level within a few years.

Hearts have had an inauspicious start to their new league campaign, falling 2-1 against Aberdeen and 3-0 against Rangers respectively. Yet Hearts defender Emma Brownlie has been outstanding at the back and has helped ensure they only conceded 15 goals so far this year compared to 66 last season.
