If you love yoga and you're lucky enough to live in Los Angeles, you've got to get outside and practice! The weather, the views, the whole LA vibe...it's a perfect match for your sun salutations. Here's how to make your outdoor yoga sessions the best they can be:

1. Location

LA is seriously spoiled for choice when it comes to outdoor spots. Want those epic skyline views? Hit up Griffith Park or Runyon Canyon.  More of a beach person? Venice or Santa Monica have got you covered. If total peace is your thing, Descanso Gardens or the Huntington Library are like little slices of paradise.

2. Choose Your Time Wisely

Mornings and late afternoons are perfect  – softer light and less intense sun. Plus, if you hit up popular spots on weekdays, you'll beat the crowds.

3. Pack the Essentials

Obviously, you need a lightweight mat, and a towel can add some comfy padding. But hey, this is LA – don't forget the sunscreen, water, sunglasses, and maybe even a cute hat.

4. Nature is Your Friend

Don't fight the elements, use them in your practice! Let the breeze deepen your breaths.  Listen to the birds – way better than the studio playlist, right?

5. No Studio Floor Out Here

Get ready to adjust your usual poses.  Focus on your core for extra stability on uneven ground.  And if sand and your knees don't mix, choose different poses.

6. Join a Class or Find Your Crew

So many studios in LA offer outdoor classes – awesome way to get tips, meet fellow yogis, and explore new locations. Or,  go online to find yoga meetups in parks. Shared practice has a whole different energy!

7. Respect the Space

Remember, parks and beaches are for everyone. Find a quiet spot where you're not in anyone's way, and keep the tunes low (or go for headphones).

8. Leave No Trace

It's simple – pack out everything you brought in, and maybe even pick up a little extra trash while you're at it. Keep these outdoor yoga spots beautiful!

9. Bliss Out

There's something magical about practicing yoga outside.  Feel the sun on your face, the fresh air...you're connecting with nature AND yourself.
