The Breaking National Team Selection Competition to select the B-boys and B-girls who will wear the Taegeuk mark next year will be held on the 20th of next month.

The Korea Dance Sports Federation announced on the 22nd, “The first competition of the Breaking K Series will be held at the Naru Art Center in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on the 20th of next month.”

By adding up the ranking points from the first and second competitions, the top 16 players for both men and women in the general division will participate in the finals.

In the finals scheduled for November, previous competition performances will not be considered, and the top three men and women will qualify for next year's national team.

They will participate in the World Dance Sports Federation (WDSF) Breaking World Championships.

The 1st and 2nd place B-boys from the high school division (17-19 years old) and the 1st and 2nd place B-girls from the youth division (8-19 years old) will participate in the WDSF Youth Breaking Championship held in China on September 28-29.

Meanwhile, the Korean national breaking team is leaving the final hurdle to advance to the 2024 Paris Olympics finals.

The Olympic Qualifier Series (OQS), a qualifying event for the Paris Olympics, will be held twice in May and June.

In Korea, five people, including B-boys Kim Hong-yeol (Hong10), Kim Heon-woo (Wing), and Park In-soo (Kill), as well as B-girls Jeon Ji-ye (Freshbella) and Kwon Seong-hee (Starry), are competing to advance to the finals.

OQS, in which 40 B-boys and 40 B-girls each participate, has 10 tickets to Paris at stake.

At the Paris Olympics, 16 male and female athletes will compete.
